Hydrogen Peroxide&Baking Soda vs. Bar Keepers Friend

Alright so my Grandmother and I were talking about what would be best to clean the cracks and crevices. I personally believe that Hydrogen Peroxide&Baking Soda is a god send in those time of cleaning needs. So I did my own little test. I can't really call it an experiment being a Science major that just makes me twitchy.

                                                                   The Competitor

My Grandmother swears by this stuff.

The challenger's caulk cleaning. I sat the solution for 20 minutes and then cleaned with a toothbrush. I don't like how it doesn't have a steady stream. It cleaned okay for my taste, but i didn't like how watery it was.

This is the cleaning from the hydrogen peroxide solution. I love how I could easily spoon it out. I also loved how easy it was to clean. The paste was easy to make and very cost effective.

Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda Peroxide Paste

1/4 cup of baking soda

Add the hydrogen peroxide slowly until it makes a paste.

Personally I think the Hydrogen Peroxide&Baking Soda wins, but you can be the judge.

Here is a price comparison:

$2.59 for a 13 oz bottle of Bar Keepers Friend

For the hydrogen peroxide it is about a $1 per 16 oz bottle.

For the baking soda it is $0.54 at Walmart's brand

So $1.54 vs. $2.59.

So baking soda and hydrogen peroxide is the clear winner on that one.
